Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update has been rolled back

Samsung started rolling out the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update a few hours ago in Korea. The update is seeded for select users in that region, with other countries like Europe, India, America, and others expected to start getting it soon. Unfortunately, the rollout isn’t moving as planned and has been rolled back due to a bug.

It’s almost impossible to see a major rollout without problems, which delay the release. We witnessed a few when the One UI 6.1 started rolling out for the Galaxy S23 series, and now, Galaxy S22 users are experiencing the same thing. With the new development, it will probably take some time before other regions start getting the update since Samsung needs to resolve the reported issues before resuming the rollout.

Meanwhile, according to Tarun Vats, the update was suspended due to screen lock issues. We don’t know what the problem is all about, but we believe it is a major issue with Samsung rolling back the build. We understand they halted the release on Friday and reverted it from the server. If you already have a notification to install the new update but didn’t, you will not see it again until the rollout starts for the second time.

Unfortunately, we don’t know when Samsung will start the Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 rollout again. In addition, the screen lock problem will delay the release in other regions, which we think is likely. Nevertheless, you should follow our social media platforms to know when the rollout commences again.
