Samsung Galaxy A15 5G One UI 6.1 update is now available

Samsung is still releasing the One UI 6.1 update to eligible phones. The latest device to start getting the update is the Galaxy A15 unlocked version in the US. As usual, the update is a limited rollout, but we expect more units to get the upgrade in the coming days.

Galaxy A15 5G One UI 6.1 update arrived for carrier-locked models a few days ago, and now, the unlocked versions are getting the same update. It comes in a 1.8 GB package with version number A156U1UEU1BXDB. Unfortunately, it could only bump the Android security patch level to April 2024, though we expect a new update soon.

Aside from improving performance and resolving bugs, the update introduced new features. Unfortunately, there are no Galaxy AI features, but you get some video and photo editing tools. In addition, search quality within the Gallery app has improved, among other new features and optimization.

Samsung is rolling out the update to unlocked versions in the US. That is after the carrier-locked units have received the update. We recommend checking out for the update via Settings>>System update>>Download and install. Ensure to back up your data before installing the upgrade.
