Samsung is yet to release the One UI 7 beta based on Android 15. With Google releasing the last scheduled Android 15 beta 4 update a few days ago, one would expect Samsung to have released the beta update to eligible Galaxy phones. Unfortunately, the Korean company seems to be taking their time, probably due to the One UI 6.1.1 rollout.
Early reports suggested that Samsung will delay the One UI 7 beta release to favor the One UI 6.1.1 release. The latter debuted with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 3, but has yet to make it to other eligible phones. We expect the update to start seeding next month, and for a change, it will arrive for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 but based on One UI 6.1.
Contrary to that report, a new leak suggested that the One UI 7 beta release will start today, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Samsung is probably sticking with the August release date, perhaps after the One UI 6.1.1 release. For now, Samsung is still updating the internal server with a new build based on One UI 7, suggesting the update might start rolling out soon.
While waiting for the update, you are advised not to install the build on a daily driver. Like every beta release, there are bugs, but One UI betas seem over the board sometimes. According to Ice Universe, the “endless bugs will drive you crazy.” You might as well wait for a more stable build before jumping on the beta build.
