Like other smartphone makers, Xiaomi has an update policy that determines how long it supports a device. Depending on the device, Xiaomi might support it for five years, but most devices get three years of security support. Only premium phones get up to five years of support, and once it elapses, they are listed on the EOL page.

Xiaomi phones have stopped getting updates

Xiaomi has a page listing all the phones that have stopped receiving updates. The list is updated every few months to add new phones, though you can now check your phone to determine when it will stop receiving updates. Recently, the company updated its EOL list to include new devices that have stopped getting updates.

These phones added to the EOL list won’t receive HyperOS 2.0 or Android 15. Xiaomi will stop sending updates to them unless on rare occasions, when a security vulnerability needs to be resolved. However, we have not seen Xiaomi release an update to a device that has elapsed its support period.

If you are using any of the phones listed below, we suggest upgrading to a new device. Meanwhile, you can install a custom ROM, especially if your device is still in good condition. With that, you will get security updates and the upcoming Android 15 upgrade.
