While the Redmi Note 14 series is yet to make its official debut, the Redmi 14R has been released in China. It is a reworked version of the Redmi 14C that arrived in Global Market a few weeks ago.
Xiaomi isn’t shy of reworking and releasing the same phone under a different moniker. The Redmi 14R is the same phone as the Redmi 14C with a Qualcomm processor but has seen it priced slightly higher than the 14C.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 14R has a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate. It can go 600 nits in peak brightness and supports wet touch.
Under the hood, the MediaTek processor on the Redmi 14C is replaced by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. It’s paired with 8GB of LPDDRX4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. Outside of the box, you get Android 14 on top of HyperOS 1.0
At the back is a circular camera island with four cutouts. However, it’s only two cameras – a 13MP sensor and an unknown lens. There’s an LED flash while the front sensor is a 5MP for video calls and selfies.
Power is drawn from a 5,160 mAH battery that supports 18 W wired charging. Of course, the 3.5mm headphone jack is retained, the side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the Micro SD card slot.
Xiaomi Redmi 14R price and availability
Redmi 14R comes in four memory configurations- 4GB/128GB ($155), 6GB/128GB ($210), 8GB/128GB ($240), a d 8GB/256GB ($265). It is available through Xiaomi’s official Chinese website in four colors. While the device is likely to be available outside of China, it will probably be available as Redmi A3 Pro or POCO C75.
