With Pixel phones now running stable Android 15, other smartphone makers will look to upgrade their eligible devices. As expected, OnePlus has plans to start seeding the upgrade in the coming days.
OxygenOS 15 will be based on Android 15. It will be presented by OnePlus on the 24th of October. The update, according to the company, is the “fastest and most user-friendly update” to OxygenOS. We will see it in full during the live presentation next week.
Meanwhile, the upgrade will focus on reconstructing animation for “unprecedented smooth animation effects.” It will also introduce AI features “designed to maximize productivity and creativity.”
Burdenless experiences have always been the core philosophy guiding OnePlus’ product development. With OxygenOS 15, OnePlus built and integrated industry-leading software algorithms to creatively reconstruct animations in the Android platform – this led to unprecedented smooth animation effects. Additionally, Oxygen OS 15 delivers a unique visual style that highlights the company’s individuality. Stemming from community feedback, OnePlus also included features that empower multi-tasking scenarios and personality expression.
OxygenOS 15 also introduces OnePlus’ latest AI features. These features are strategically designed to maximize productivity and creativity, making life easier for each user. The new software will be a perfect combination of speed, performance, and intelligence.
There’s no confirmation on the devices that will get the update, but we expect the OnePlus 12 and OnePLus Open to lead the charge. We doubt the company will be seeding stable builds after the unveiling next week, and hence, we expect a beta release after the presentation.
