While Google is already working on the next iteration of Android OS, Samsung has yet to start the beta preview of the current OS. We understand the company is testing the build internally for multiple phones, with an official announcement expected alongside the Galaxy S25. However, a new report might have revealed the One UI 7 release plans.
We still expect Samsung to release the One UI 7 beta update this year, and a recent report agrees with the supposed release plans. However, it means we will not be seeing the beta update this month, but the first wave of the rollout might be available next month.
Samsung is alleged to release the Galaxy S24 One UI 7 beta update in the first week of December. The S23 series phones will participate in the preview but after three weeks of the initial release. It’s unlikely for the Galaxy S22 series to get the beta update while the S21 series are ruled out completely.
With the new development, we will probably not see the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 in January. That has been tipped for February, after the Galaxy S25 unveiling, which will run the upcoming update from the box.
What is it with of the One UI 7 release plan delays?
Samsung will bring user-facing changes with One UI 7, and they need time to address all the potential issues. However, they seem to have made headways in the last few days, with new One UI 7 beta builds spotted on the server. Hopefully, there will not be further delays.
