Android Auto is the most supported Google app, perhaps due to the reports we see every day. Unfortunately, Google does not release a new build with a changelog, so it’s always difficult to say what has been fixed or new features introduced. But thanks to beta testers, we learned about these changes before they became available to the public.
Meanwhile, while Google is rolling out the Android Auto 13.5 stable update via Play Store, it is not widely available. It takes a few weeks before the update becomes available in all eligible regions. However, you can side-load the APK file if you are eager to test the new additions and changes introduced with the latest release.
Android Auto 13.5 stable update changes
Google is working on expanding Android Auto to support more motorcycles. The app already supports a few, but Google plans to make more models compatible. They also plan to reach more platforms, making Android Auto widely adopted.
We understand work is ongoing to add support for higher-resolution displays. Perhaps since Car screens are getting better, Google wants Android Auto to blend with these displays. The company might as well announce new app categories soon, with video apps, games, and browsers already in the works.
Meanwhile, it’s unclear when these new features will be released, including the Car Media feature that would let users listen to radio and access what’s on their media files without exiting Android Auto. Google might be looking at the next Android Auto milestone update to release these new additions. Hopefully, Android Auto 14.0 will be a massive update with all these features.

Google is rolling out the update via the Play Store, but it might take time to reach your country. Nevertheless, you can side-load the APK when you download it from here. We understand that sometimes the app might start misbehaving after a new update. When that happens, you should uninstall the update.
