The Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 is the direct successor of Snapdragon 435, offering a higher clock speed of 2.0GHz. The SoC is manufactured in the latest 12nm FinFet process with eight Arm-cortex Architecture. What it means is that smartphones with Snapdragon 439 processor will allow users to execute their task faster, even when multitasking on a high-level without their device slowing down.
However, it’s still a mid-range processor and would never offer as fast the speed of SD 855, which is the latest chip from Qualcomm. Nevertheless, you’ll get a decent LTE speed of 150Mbps on downloads and 75Mbps upload speed. The Wi-Fi also received some boost and is now on AC Wave 2 while Bluetooth 5.0 also made the cut.
The camera department received a major boost with a 2x image signal processor. It can house single 21MP camera conformably but can only go 8MP for dual sensor smartphones. Snapdragon 439 has the capability to record videos at 1080p@30fps and video playback up to 1080p.
For smartphones with Snapdragon 439, the maximum on-device display is FHD+ and up to 1080p maximum output display. Qualcomm has ensured you get accurate image and color representation by equipping SD 439 with Adreno 505 GPU.
Also very important is the time spent on charging and Qualcomm has ensured you don’t spend all day refilling. This is possible with the support of Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
