Xiaomi, after the MIUI 11 unveiling has been rolling out the update to some of its phones. The update has since been rolled out to Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, POCO F1 with a few other eligible devices. And now, it has started arriving on Mi 8 with a version number, MIUI 11.0.6.0 PEAMIXM.
The update is Global Stable version and weighs about 1.9GB. It’s bringing to the device, Always on Display, which the POCO F1 users are dying to get. Xiaomi Mi 8 got the Ambient Display because the screen is made of AMOLED while POCO F1 uses an LCD panel.
Unfortunately, the update didn’t bring Android 10 to the device, It only pushes the Android Security Patch to October, to improve the system security and stability. Nevertheless, the screen is wearing a new look with the removal of visual clutter and refining of colors. It also adds filters to the alarm sound, and now you’ll wake up to dynamic sounds of nature.
