The Big G isn’t finished with the Google Pixel phones. Adding to the series of updates this set of smartphones has received, Google is working on a new calling feature for Google Pixel phones, quite interesting.
Further details on the new calling feature
As we all know, Google has already rolled out the Android 13 QPR1 Beta to eligible Pixel phones. Well, apart from the stability, bug fixes and general smartphone enhancements the Android 13 QPR1 Beta is offering, there are some hidden features in this software.
This includes new animations on the expected Pixel Tablet, a possible Pro variant of the Pixel Tablet as well, “unannounced Pixel devices codenamed Lynx and Felix” and of course software features like the new calling feature.
Talking about the calling feature from the software, our tipster Mishaal Rahman, revealed that “Google is working on a feature called “clear calling” that will reduce background noises during calls. It works “for most mobile networks” but it’s not available with WiFi calling. Contents from your calls are not sent to Google”.
Well, sources said that the new calling feature is not live yet on the Android 13 QPR1 Beta and that it’s still under development, however, Mishaal Rahman found a way to enable it manually. Looking at the screenshot he shared, you can simply navigate to Sound and Vibration in the Settings to access the feature. Furthermore, we discerned from Mishaal Rahman’s statement that the feature will be available for most mobile network calls and not WiFi calls.
