Google recently released the September 2023 Google Play System update. The latest update brought some improvement and new features, but most Pixel phones are currently on the July 1, 2023 Google Play System update. However, a new update is rolling out but fails to bring the latest version.
A couple of days ago, we reported that most Pixel phones are stuck on the July 1, 2023, Google Play System update. That was the case with the Pixel 6 Pro, which has now gotten a new update. However, the latest release isn’t the latest version, as it could only update the device to August 1, 2023.
The update weighs 69MB and says, “Latest security update from Google.” Well, that’s not the latest. Google already released the September update with some new features. You can check the complete changelog here.
Meanwhile, you should check for the new update if your Pixel phone is stuck on the July 1, 2023 update. You can do that from Settings>>Security &Privacy>>Updates. Tap on Google Play System update to scan for a new update. Download, and then Install by rebooting your device if there’s any.
