It has been months since the first Android 11 build arrived for the POCO F2 Pro in Europe. The update unsurprisingly left a few bugs, which Xiaomi developers have been fixing ever since in subsequent OTAs. They have also started rolling out a new POCO F2 Pro update in Europe that brings an updated security patch build. However, the package size could mean the update came with a fix for some of the bugs affecting the device after the Android 11 upgrade.
The new POCO F2 Pro update in Europe has a version number – MIUI 12.2.5.0 RJKEUXM – and weighs in at 2.9GB. That’s big for just a security patch update. However, we believe the update didn’t only push the security patch level to February 2021. Of course, the camera can now recognize documents in real-time, but that still doesn’t justify the package size. It probably has fixed some bugs, and you should download and install the update when prompted. If not for anything, at least, to fortify the device for a seamless transition to MIUI 12.5. The update will start seeding next month and will arrive on the POCO F2 Pro.
Meanwhile, as usual, the update would arrive for limited users at the moment. It has been tagged “Beta Stable,” meaning only a few people will get the build for preview. The beta phase will last for some days, and if in the end there’s no bug detected, the public rollout will commence immediately. Nevertheless, you can use the link below to download the ROM, but flashing it might return any error. In that case, you should give it some time or wait for the OTA to grace your device.
