Google released the Android 11 beta 1 for its pixel phones yesterday. The update introduced a new notification system, redesigned power menu, and a bunch of other changes. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has announced that the Android 11 beta 1 for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be available soon.
The information came from the official MIUI page on Twitter. According to the tweet, the Android 11 beta 1 for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be available soon. Unfortunately, the tweet didn’t include a time frame as to when the update will start arriving. However, since Google has released the Android 11 beta 1 update, it won’t be long until we see Xiaomi phones start getting the update.

Android 11 beta 1 for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro: some of the features that will arrive with the update
- Do not Disturb: the function allows you to customize which app or people that can notify you when it’s turned on.
- Priority conversation: When a conversation is marked as ‘priority’ the sender avatar will appear on your lock screen and optionally allows you to give them access through your Do Not Disturb function.
- Conversation: The new notification shade now groups messages from your texting apps into their section at the top.
- Media control: Now in quick settings and you can now select the location of your audio outputs.
- Screenshot: the button is now placed on the lower-left corner.
- Native screen recorder: on course to be an official Android feature. This particular feature has been one of Xiaomi system apps for some time now.
- The power menu: added more functions aside from powering your phone; digital wallet, Google pay cards, and passes, and smart home contro.
- Recent screen: now include a button for taking screenshot, sharing a screenshot, or selecting the text.
- One-time permission for location: this option automatically reset permission for dormant apps.
- Voice Access: this function found under the accessibility feature allows you to control your device with voice control. It has been enhanced and now understands “screen content and context, and generates labels and access points for accessibility commands.”
