The Mi Mix 2s was one of Xiaomi’s flagship phones of 2018. It debuted with Android 8.1 Oreo and was among their first few to adopt Android 9 Pie and Android 10. The device has now lost that privilege to newer phones: Mi 10 series, Redmi K30 Pro, and POCO F2 Pro, which are currently adopting Android 11.
Android 11 for Mi Mix 2s won’t happen
Exactly how the Mi 10 is participating in Android 11 beta testing, is how Mi Mix 2s tested the Android Pie, but given that it has received two OS upgrades: Android Pie and Android Q,which is the maximum for Xiaomi flagships, Android 11 for Mi Mix 2s won’t be happening. However, it will receive the MIUI 12 update, which will probably deliver some of the Android 11 features.
According to the official MIUI 12 roadmap, the Mi Mix 2s will receive MIUI 12 with the second rollout. It will receive the update alongside the Mi Mix 3, Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Mi 9SE, Mi 8 EE, Mi 8, Mi 8 UD, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Note 7.
Unfortunately, there’s currently no official time frame as to when the update will start seeding, but it’s believed to be imminent. The company has initiated the second phase of the rollout with the Beta now available for the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro and POCO F1 will join the beta phase soon as beta recruitment was organized for both phones along with Note 8 Pro.
