Google released the April security patch update to its Pixel phones last Monday. The update has probably reached all eligible users, of which many are not happy with as it failed to address the slow fingerprint unlock bug. Meanwhile, the tech company has just followed the initial release with the Android 12 QPR3 beta 2 update. The current build is exclusive to users that enrolled in Google’s beta program.
According to reports, the Android 12 QPR3 beta 2 update didn’t come with any new features, but the update seems to address some bugs. Unfortunately, it has introduced a few new ones. Fortunately, they have been acknowledged by Google, and hence, a fix might arrive in the next release. Nevertheless, the update has bumped the Android security patch to April 2022. Supposedly, that has increased system security while addressing the security and privacy vulnerabilities fixed by the April patch.
Aside from the new security patch level, a few bugs have been fixed. Below are all the bugs Google fixed with the update, and the new ones introduced by the update

Fixed issues that caused a high pitch noise during phone calls on some devices. (Issue #224716473)
Fixed an issue that caused the bottom of the Google Maps UI to be cut off at the bottom of the screen on some devices. (Issue #223688137)
Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the Google Messages app to fail to send a message that was sourced by scanning a QR code.
Fixed an issue that caused the Google Phone app to crash after using the back gesture while searching.

In some cases, the Google Camera app icon in a device’s personal profile erroneously displays a work profile indicator.
When launching the NHS COVID-19 app, a Keystore issue can cause the app to crash.
The update is seeding to eligible users currently and should be available on your device already. You can check for a new update by navigating to Settings >> System >>Advanced >>System update. Perhaps, you can flash the factory image for your phone when you download it from Google’s developer site.
