The all-new exclusive Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 update has been rolling out on a lot of Samsung devices since March 2022. Though quite late, the Android 12 update for Galaxy A42 5G and A71 5G is now available in the US.
All flagship models, speaking of the Galaxy S22 series, last year’s S21, and also some Note series have participated in the latest OneUI update in most regions of the world. The non-flagship Galaxy A51 has also received the package in European and Asian markets.
The Korean brand has also rolled out the stable OneUI update to the budget and mid-range phones some of which are the Galaxy A52 4G, Galaxy M62, Galaxy A32 5G as well as Galaxy M31, and now the Android 12 update for Galaxy A42 5G and A71 5G is been seeded in the US.
The Android 12 update for Galaxy A42 5G is for the SM-A42U1 model and is available on the carrier unlocked variants of the handset. Although the update is OneUI 4 and not 4.1, The package bears firmware version A42U1UEU3BVD5 and includes the March 2022 security patch.
For the Galaxy A71 5G, the package is available on the SM-A716U model and bears firmware version A716USQU6EVD3. Unlike the Galaxy A42 5G, the OneUI layer is 4.1 and the update also includes the April security patch.

If you’re rocking these latest A-series Galaxy devices in the US, then the update should have gotten to your device. Although your phone will notify you when it is available, you can install it manually by navigating to the Settings app, clicking on software updates, and then you can download and install.
