Android 13 beta 3.3 released with bug fixes

Google has released a new Android 13 beta 3.3 update to beta testers. The latest update follows the path of previous beta 3’s update in fixing bugs and optimizing performance. As expected, the new update has resolved a series of bugs, including the Wi-Fi connection issues, System UI crashes, Keyboard issues, unresponsiveness during charging, and many more.

Android 13 beta 3.3

Google still hopes to release the stable version of Android 13 soon, and with the series of Beta 3’s releases we have seen, the company is on course for an early rollout. They are currently seeding Android 13 beta 3.3 with a build number TPB3.220617.022

The latest beta update comes with bug fixes and improvements, while the Android security patch level is in June 2022, meaning there are no changes. Below is the complete list of bugs resolved with the Android 13 Beta 3.3 update.

Android 13 Beta 3.3 update changelog

  • Fixed an issue with the Pixel launcher where if the Always show Keyboard option was enabled for the app drawer, then when the user closed the app drawer and opened an app folder on the Home screen, the keyboard was erroneously shown as well.
  • Fixed an issue where in some cases, such as gesturing to go back, the system UI crashed.
  • Fixed an issue where devices couldn’t connect to a WiFi network even when the network was available and the signal strength was good.
  • Fixed an issue with Bluetooth Manager Service that led to slow performance and cold starts for apps.
  • Fixed an issue where in some cases after a device was plugged in to charge (for example, overnight), the device would become unresponsive until it was rebooted.
  • Fixed a kernel issue with lib/list_debug.c that caused a kernel panic for some devices.
  • Fixed an issue with the Connectivity Thermal Power Manager that caused slow Ul rendering, unresponsiveness in apps, and poor battery performance in some cases.

Of course, only eligible users (those enrolled in Android 13 beta tests) will get the update. The OTA will arrive on your device in the coming hours, or you can use this link and download it manually. And aside from the bug fixes, the update brings some improvements to Google Play services.
