Samsung has yet to announce the Android 15-based One UI 7 public beta as the company is focusing on One UI 6.1.1. The update is expected to start rolling out next month to eligible units, and we expect the One UI 7 beta immediately after the rollout. That’s because the Galaxy S24+ has been spotted running the upcoming Android OS.
Google is expected to release the stable Android 15 update to Pixel phones in October, three months from now. Usually, Samsung starts the public beta testing before the rollout, and while there’s no official announcement on the beta testing schedule, a recent report hints at the arrival of the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta build.
Tarun Vats has spotted the Galaxy S24+ on the Geekbench benchmark website running Android 15. It probably means Samsung will announce the One UI 7 public beta test soon. Of course, the company is currently testing the update internally and will open it for the public when it’s stable enough.
We anticipate the testing to start in August, probably after the release of the One UI 6.1.1 update. As usual, there will be a series of beta releases before it reaches a stable build, which should first arrive for the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung’s focus is on One UI 6.1.1 currently, and not much has been said about One UI 7. Hence, we don’t know the features coming to Samsung phones with the update. The same can’t be said about Android 15, as Google already finalized all the changes. You can check for Android 15 features here.
When will the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update arrive?
We are still months before the Android 15-based One UI 7 update will start rolling out for the public. Samsung will release the update towards the end of the year, but we anticipate the beta program next month. You can join the early adopters to test the upcoming Android OS if you can’t wait for the stable release.
