Google recently reached platform stability for Android 15, encouraging developers to start testing their apps for compatibility issues. OEMs have also joined the testing, though they are not moving at the same pace as Google. The tech company already released Android 15 beta 3, and OnePlus is just seeding the Android 15 beta 2.
Android 15 beta 2 for OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open is exclusive to developers and advanced users. Of course, you can install the build on your device, but make sure it’s not a daily driver, as the update has some issues. In addition, those with little to no experience in software development should avoid this build and wait for a more stable version.
Nevertheless, the build is more stable compared to the first release. There are some improvements while performance is much better. If you are experiencing issues with split-screen, Bluetooth, compatibility, personal hotspots, cameras, and third-party apps, the new update resolved all these problems.
As expected, some issues have persisted, while some are newly detected. These include camera freeze when switching to High-res mode, inability to switch icons, Air gesture not turning off, and more you can access via the source link.
The Android 15 beta 2 update for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open is available for those in North America, India, Europe, and globally. You can access the download link via the source link and details on how to install the ROM. Interestingly, OnePlus has provided a guide on how to move back to Android 14.
