It’s no secret that Xiaomi has been testing the upcoming Android 15. The next Android OS will arrive with HyperOS 2.0 for eligible users, and as usual, a series of beta updates are released to ensure compatibility and performance. Xiaomi has moved closer to the release as a new build is now available for beta testers.
Xiaomi announced the release of Android 15-based HyperOS to eligible users. The rollout started in China before extending to select phones globally. While the global testers are still in the Android 15 beta 2 update, the Chinese users are getting Android 15 beta 3.
Google reached platform stability with the Android 15 beta 3 release, meaning there haven’t been any changes to developers APIs and app-facing behaviors. Xiaomi is now testing its system apps to ensure they are compatible with the upcoming Android OS, meaning the stable release isn’t far away again.
Nevertheless, we are still a few months away from the release of Android 15 to Pixel phones. Xiaomi phones will start getting upgraded later in the year, probably in December. We expect more devices to join the beta test before then, and you can follow our social media platforms to know when it starts.
Again, the Android 15 beta 3-based HyperOS update is available in China for select phones. These are the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi K60 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4. You can download the flashable file via the source link, and they weigh about 5GB.
