Google is not waiting for Android 16 to make some changes to the system. With the upcoming Platform Release, the company will introduce new features and make some adjustments. The next release will be in March, and those participating in the beta preview will get the Android 15 QPR2 Beta 3 update now.

According to Google, the Quarterly Platform Releases are different from the monthly security patches. While the latter focuses on resolving security vulnerabilities, the former delivers new features and UI tweaks sometimes. We understand they are stable enough for daily users, but you can only receive the update now if you are a registered beta tester or wait till March.
