Google confirmed a few hours ago the Android 16 beta 3 release. The update will arrive later today, which will mark a milestone on the upcoming OS journey.

Android 16 Platform stability with Beta 3 update
Google has always reached Platform stability for a new Android OS with the beta 3 update. While they will continue in the route, the update is coming earlier than previous releases. This is due to the changes made to the release schedule of a new OS. Google plans to release a stable Android 16 in June, and with the pace of the beta releases, they are on track.
Android 16 beta 3 will not introduce any major user-facing changes, as regards the last release. Android beta 2 brought the ability to launch Google Wallet with a double press of the power button instead of launching the Pixel Camera.
Also, “Extra dim was integrated and a measurement system depending on your region. A “Switch users” home screen widget was part of the build. Meanwhile, we hope the issue with the background color of the Settings apps will be resolved with the upcoming update.
While we are not expecting major changes with Android 16 beta 3, it will confirm final APIs and behaviors. Moving forward, there will be no changes until the stable release.
Of course, Android 16 beta 4 is on the cards. That is usually the final beta build and will roll out in April. There will probably be other beta releases depending on feedback from beta testers ahead of the stable release in June.
