Google keeps planning for the next feature drop expected in September. The last build arrived with stable Android 15 a few days ago, and with the new update, the company moves a step closer to the next release.

The new update is Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2.1. It is a follow-up to the last release to resolve issues and optimize performance. Additionally, it brings the June 2025 security patch to eligible phones to enhance security.
