Google has started rolling out a new Android Auto update. The latest release is exclusive to beta testers, and will become available to everyone in the coming days. However, you can side-load the app using the links below this post.
Google has consistently released a new Android Auto update since the debut of Coolwalk redesign. The tech giant is rolling out Android Auto 10.3, but exclusive to beta testers. Unfortunately, there is no changelog, making it difficult to say what has been added with the latest build.
Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem like Android Auto 10.3 beta introduced new features. We believe the latest update focuses on bug fixes and improvements, as there have been reports about some difficulties using the app. While that seems like it, reports suggest a new feature will be coming to more users soon.
With Android Auto 10.2, Google enabled a search feature for Audio apps. It’ll be possible to search songs by typing the name or the artist without voice command, which is how it has been designed to work. Of course, the feature is only available when the car is parked and would be locked once you start moving, making voice command the only option.
Unfortunately, only select users have gotten the new feature, as Google is rolling it out in batches. It doesn’t seem tied to any version of Android Auto. We expect a wider release once the beta phase has been completed.
Meanwhile, it is possible Android Auto 10.3 beta will enable search feature for some people. You can download the APK file using the link below and side-load on your device.
