Since the release of the Coolwalk redesign, Google has constantly released a new Android Auto update. These updates are supposed to resolve bugs, but it seems to be doing the opposite. And even after a beta test, the Android Auto 10.5 stable update looks to have broken the GPS.
According to reports, the new stable update is causing GPS issues while driving. While not everyone has the issue, those experiencing it say the GPS signal suddenly goes off for a few seconds, and the navigator freezes. Unsurprisingly, the navigation starts working normally after a few seconds, but that can be frustrating especially when you’re actively using the GPS.
Unfortunately, Google hasn’t acknowledged the GPS issues, but that’s why they release a new Android Auto update every few weeks. If you’re experiencing GPS issues when using Android Auto, we won’t recommend waiting for a new update. You can downgrade to an older version to continue using the app without issues.
Nevertheless, we expect the next Android Auto update to address the issue, but we don’t know when Google will release it. If you haven’t installed the latest update, you can wait for the new release before upgrading your app. You can follow us on Telegram to know when a new update starts rolling out.
