Google recently released the v13, and they are now rolling out the Android Auto 13.1 stable update. The tech giant skipped the beta preview for this release, but that does not mean you will get the update immediately. It is a staged rollout and will take some time to arrive for all eligible users. Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem there are many changes as Google continues working on some new additions.
Android Auto 13.1 stable update is rolling via the Play Store. It’s rolling out in batches and will take time before hitting all eligible phones. Of course, you can side-load the APK file, but you might just wait for the OTA, as the new update did not bring any new features.
We understand Google is still working on some new additions, spotted months ago. They want to ease reliance on Google Music and Spotify by supporting USB media playback. This will allow users to listen to audio on their flash drives instead of using these streaming platforms.
Unfortunately, the support has not arrived yet and we do not know when Google plans to start rolling it out. Nevertheless, it will not be long again, as it has been months since they started working on the feature. We expect beta testers to get it when it becomes available before it extends to everyone.

The update is available on the Play Store but you can side-load the APK. You can uninstall the update if you encounter any issues after installing it.
