We know Google is working on some new additions, including new app categories. We are not yet certain when these apps will start showing up on Android Auto, but the latest release hints at an imminent arrival.
The new app categories will allow compatible apps on your phone to show up on Android Auto. According to reports, the app will notify users when a new app is available for their car. While not every app will be enabled while driving, Google is working on enabling more apps when the car is parked.
With the February security patch update, Google resolved the Bluetooth and Audio issues for Pixel users. We understand the fix is part of the latest patch release. However, since most companies do not release updates in time, it is possible Google has included the fix in the Android Auto 13.8 beta.
Also, the Google Maps-centered issue seems to have been resolved. Initially, it was difficult to see your location, as the destination box was taking a chunk of the screen. After installing the new update, the current location is moved to the side and no longer at the center.
Of course, the update resolved other issues and optimized performance. It is a beta release, probably why you can not find it on the Play Store. Nevertheless, you can follow the procedure below to side-load the app.
