It’s been only a few weeks since the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro started shipping, but there are already many bugs reported. We seem to see a new iPhone 15 bug every day, and it’s always a different issue from the previous one. Users are reporting speaker issues when playing music and answering phone calls.
As always with new phones, we expect a few bugs, which are always addressed with a new update. Apple has since acknowledged some of the problems reported by Apple iPhone 15 users, however, they’re yet to say anything about the latest speaker issues, which seem to be affecting a chunk of users.
Apple iPhone 15 speaker issues
Apple iPhone 15 users are widely reporting a disturbing issue with their phone speakers. It seems to affect the earpiece speaker more, which results in some issues while answering phone calls. There are cases of echo on the receiver’s end when the phone is on speaker during calls and difficulties for the person on the call to hear them.
Also, playing an Audio, watching video clips, or streaming a video when the Audio is high results in a crackly and distorted sound. Reports on Reddit suggest the issue starts when the volume is above 80%. Perhaps Apple doesn’t want you to go above 80% volume on your new iPhone?
It’s unclear whether the iPhone 15 speaker issue is a hardware or software problem. What’s interesting is that Apple has replaced an affected device twice, according to 9to5mac. Perhaps the company acknowledges the problem, though they haven’t communicated to other people facing the same issues.
Meanwhile, those who had their device replaced are still facing speaker issues. It’s looking more like a software issue, and hopefully, Apple will address it, together with other bugs affecting the phone users in the next iOS update.
