Google has released the April 2024 security patch update for Pixel phones. The rollout is available for stable users, while those on the beta program are previewing the Android QPR3 Beta 2.1, which will arrive for the public in June.
The April 2024 security patch update for the Pixel phone is rolling out with version number AP1A.240405.002 and weighs about 29.24 MB. It’s now available for all eligible Pixel phones, from the Pixel 5a to the Pixel 8. Of course, the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold are getting the update.
According to the security patch bulletin, Google addressed 8 security vulnerabilities with the patch dated 2024-04-02 and 20 on the 2024-04-05 patch. These security flaws range from high to critical.
There are 25 additional security fixes for Google devices with only the global builds. Google warns that CVE-2024-29745 (High severity, Bootloader) and CVE-2024-29748 (High, Pixel Firmware) “may be under limited, targeted exploitation.”
