The Galaxy Z fold 2 april security patch is now available after most Samsung devices received the software update two weeks ago.
Flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 and S21 series have received the update as they are always first in line. Also, the A51 and the Note 20 series among other non-flagship phones had partaken in the software update. The update is now reaching the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the US, though the package had gotten to some European markets as of April 12, 2022. We expect more devices to get it in other regions.
Available on both the carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, the firmware version bears the F916U1UES2GVC8 firmware number. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 April security patch claims to fix 88 vulnerabilities which should include bug fixes and prevention from exploits, so expect improved stability and better overall performance on your handset. The update comes in a 225.68MB package and you can check for a new update via the settings app to improve your device security.
The Korean brand has always done a good job in seeding software updates on this remarkable handset. The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2 got the OneUI 2.0 update in 2020( Android 10-based), the oneUI 3 update in early 2021(Android 11-based), and recently got updated to the Android 12-based oneUI 4.0 update.
