The Xiaomi Android one updates might have their issues, but it has remained consistent. Perhaps, that’s due to the Android policy, which ensures that every phone released under the program gets three years of support. And going by that, the Mi A3 is on the last days of security patch build, of which that of April 2021 has started rolling out. The update started seeding a couple of hours ago, meaning only a few selected users will receive the update. However, it has been confirmed safe while fixing some bugs introduced by Android 11, making it safe to install manually.

The April security patch for the Mi A3 looks like the best released in a while now. According to feedback on Telegram, the update fixed most of the issues that have plagued the device. It has supposedly fixed the DPI issues: icons and screen content getting bigger after some time. Also, the battery charging issue where the time remaining for a full charge doesn’t show on the lock screen has been solved. The performance has improved while security has increased as Android 11 is pushed to April 2021. 

Meanwhile, the update is hitting eligible users with a version number – V12.0.8.0 RFQMIXM. It comes in a 36.84 MB package and should appear on your device in the coming days. But as said earlier in this post, you can use the link below and download the recovery ROM. Again, the update is safe. You should install it to increase system security, optimize performance, and fix some bugs.
