Sources have revealed an intriguing feature for the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro, known as the “Audio Magic Eraser.” Building on the success of the Google Pixel 7’s reputation for exceptional photo and video quality, this new feature aims to elevate the Pixel 8 Pro’s capabilities even further.

A recent 14-second video shared by the “EZ” X/Twitter account showcases the Audio Magic Eraser in action. The video is labeled “G Pixel,” reminiscent of last year’s marketing trailers. This feature appears to be integrated into the Google Photos video editor, offering users the ability to manipulate and enhance audio in their video clips.
The Audio Magic Eraser seems to analyze the audio within a clip, identifying various elements such as noise, people, and music. The user is then presented with sliders to control each of these aspects. By dragging the sliders left or right, users can adjust the sound levels, similar to other filters available in Google Photos.
The accompanying tagline of the short video boldly states, “The only phone with Audio Magic Eraser,” underlining Google’s commitment to innovation. The video also emphasizes the Pixel 8 Pro’s origin as “the only phone engineered by Google.”
This novel feature builds upon the success of the existing Magic Eraser tool in Google Photos, which already allows users to remove objects or people from images and apply color modifications using Camouflage mode.
Additionally, a glimpse of the Pixel 8 Pro is provided in the video, showcasing a light blue color similar to the “Sea” shade seen on the Pixel 7a. The camera bar features a distinctive pill-shaped cutout that houses all three lenses together. Adjacent to it are the flash and a barely visible temperature sensor. The image portrays a metal texture with a satin finish, offering a glimpse of the device’s aesthetics.
As anticipation grows for the Google Pixel 8 Pro’s official unveiling, the revelation of the Audio Magic Eraser adds to the excitement surrounding the device’s potential to redefine audio-visual experiences in the smartphone realm.
