August 2024 Google Play system update was announced earlier this month but never rolled out to eligible phones. However, we can confirm that the update is now available for download, and though it might have been installed automatically, you can still check to install it if not.
We anticipate the release of a new Google Play system update every month. There’s never a fixed date for the arrival, as they starts rolling out weeks after being announced. We can confirm the August version is now rolling out, but the size seems small and it’s being installed automatically.
The update has improved Device Connectivity, Network Usage, Security, Stability, and Updatability. In addition, fixes bugs in System Management & Diagnostic services. We recommend installing the update by following the procedure below.

The latest build comes on a small size. You would be asked to reboot your device to finish the installation when you head to Settings>>Privacy & security>>System update>>Google Play system update on your Pixel phone. Other Android phone users can download the update from Settings>>Security.
