We were waiting for MIUI 15 before Xiaomi confirmed its next Android skin will answer HyperOS. The rollout started in China before rolling out to the international models. While animation and stability were improved, there was not a big UI overhaul, as it could be difficult to tell the difference between MIUI and HyperOS. Xiaomi is still rolling out Android 14-based HyperOS updates to eligible users. As the update arrives for more people, new issues are reported. The latest problem seems exclusive to those in Japan, which has caused the NFC to stop working.  Near-field communication (NFC) is available on most phones.
