Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 7 in January 2019 running Stable Android 10 based on MIUI 10. After a month, the company released the Redmi Note 7 Pro into the market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Octa-Core processor. The device also runs Stable Android Pie on top MIUI 10. It seems the May Android security patch update left some bugs. The update which arrived with a build number MIUI 11.0.4.0 QGGMIXM for the global users also arrived for the EEA users but had a different build number – MIUI 11.0.3.0 QGGEUXM. To make 5G more affordable for consumers globally, Qualcomm has just added a new Snapdragon 690 SoC to its 600series chip. The SoC is the first from the series to support 5G connectivity and will do so with Qualcomm X51 modem. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 supports SA, NSA, and global 5G bands on sub-6GHz. Unfortunately, the processor doesn’t seem to include support for mmWave, which means it won’t be compatible with existing Verizon and AT&T 5G networks. Xiaomi has made available, the MIUI 12 Beta stable update for some it’s devices including Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi 9T, and Mi 9T Pro. The update which brought features like Dark Mode, Floating Windows, New camera modes, revamped system animation, and unify font, left a some bugs, which among them is Google pay not working. Xiaomi released the Redmi 9 last week in Spain with a starting price of $157. The device is currently on pre-sale, and you can take that opportunity to grab the phone for $149 instead. At that price, many consumers believe the phone is pricey compared to the predecessor, but the Redmi 9 specs is a better phone. However, a more affordable Xiaomi Redmi 9 phone just passed Thai NBTC certification.
