Since stable Android 15 is not due till next month for Pixel phones, Google is rolling out the September 2024 security patch based on Android 14. The update is rolling out for all eligible users with fixes and system improvements.  The next stable update is probably Android 15, but before that, you should install the latest update. Google has released latest Android OS, but you will not get the update just yet. The tech company is only pushing the source code to Android Open Source Project to open the door for individual developers to start developing their AOSP based Android 15.  We reported last week that Google will release Android 15 to AOSP today. As expected, the update is now Ava, meaning we will start seeing Android 15-based AOSP builds in the coming days. All the recent reports point to an October release date for the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 stable update. Xiaomi has yet to confirm the date, but it looks like the company will announce its upcoming flagship phones in October. They will probably arrive with HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15, which the company has been testing. Xiaomi is still rolling out HyperOS 1.5, but plans are underway for the major upgrade, in the form of HyperOS 2.0. Google usually announces a new Play system update at the start of a new month. Unfortunately, these updates don’t arrive for eligible phones until weeks later. However, they seem to have improved the rollout speed, as most Pixel phones are running the August version.
