Google published the September 2024 security patch bulletin a few days ago, detailing all the fixes coming to the Android ecosystem with the release. Xiaomi phones are getting the update, but unlike Pixel phones, only select phones are currently getting the update. The September 2024 security patch update resolved about 36 security vulnerabilities, ranging from high to critical. Google and Samsung reviewed their update policy in the last few months. Both companies now offer seven years of Android OS updates, albeit only flagship phones for Samsung. Samsung has already released the One UI 6.1.1 update to the Galaxy S24 series in China and the US.
