Xiaomi continues to upgrade eligible phones to Android 14 with HyperOS. The latest device to start getting the update is the Redmi Note 13 Pro, and it seems there’s an issue with the upgrade.

Battery drain, Microsoft Office app not opening, and other HyperOS bugs

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G started receiving Android 14-based HyperOS update a couple of weeks ago. The upgrade is yet to arrive on all eligible phones, but you might have to wait for a new release. According to reports, the device can’t open the Microsoft Office app after a recent HyperOS upgrade.

The issue affects Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and POCO X6 5G users running these stable HyperOS builds OS1.0.8.0.UNREUXM, OS1.0.4.0.UNRMIXM, OS1.0.3.0.UNRINXM. It seems the problem has been resolved, with Xiaomi promising that the next update will address it. We recommend checking for a new update if you are using the affected phones.

Those in Singapore are complaining of an issue that won’t allow them to sign in to Singpass, a 3rd party app account. The issue is affecting the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra running OS1.0.5.0.UNCMIXM and OS1.0.2.0.UNAMIXM. If you have this problem, update the app to v22.0.0, which should resolve it.

The battery drain issue is being reported widely, and so far, there is no news of a fix. It seems to affect all Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra units after the recent HyperOS upgrade. Before downloading a new update, check if their version number is among the ones here. (VOS10.1.0.UNCRUXM, OS1.0.14.0.UNCEUXM, OS1.0.2.0.UNCMIXM, OS1.0.5.0.UNCMIXM, OS1.0.6.0.UNCINXM, OS1.0.4.0.UNAEUXM, OS1.0.2.0.UNAEUXM, OS1.0.2.0.UNAMIXM, OS1.0.2.0.UNATWXM. If yes, avoid the update and wait for a new release.
