While many users complained about some issues on Google Pixel 6 series, Google rolled out some updates from December to March that fixed some of the problems. Meanwhile very few weren’t fixed but the company provided solutions to each of them. Just recently, battery draining issues were traced to the Google message app on Samsung devices. We’ve noticed that the same issues on Google Pixel 6 were traced to the same app
On the Google Message app, one can easily take a picture and attach it to the email you’re sending to a friend. While trying to achieve this, there is a live camera feed that takes snapshots directly from the thumbnail or you can easily expand for a better view.
In the recent Google message app, Reddit had reported that there’s a bug in the app leaving the camera feed running even if it’s not on the screen but in the background, and this takes a toll on the battery as well as causes overheating for the device.
How do we solve the battery draining issues on Google Pixel 6
The battery drain issues on Google Pixel 6 series generally can be solved by removing the Google message app from the recents or you can also move to the app permission section and then to the messaging app. Then click on camera permission and press don’t allow.
According to Google communication manager, Scott Westover, the issues have been identified and a fix has started rolling out. We don’t know which version includes the fix but we should be on the alert for updates.
