Xiaomi phone users have been complaining of a Google Play Store server error. Many users have taken to Reddit and Mi community to voice their frustration about the issue, but it seems the problem is from the app.
According to multiple reports, the Play Store app keeps returning an error message “No internet connection. Make sure your Wi-Fi or Mobile data is turned on, then try again.” The video on Reddit shows an active Wi-Fi network, while the error was still persistent, meaning it’s a problem from the app.
Also, a moderator in the Mi community forum claims developers can’t find the reason for the “cannot connect to the server error.” Supposedly, the issue isn’t from Xiaomi’s end. Users are advised to submit a feedback report using the app on their phones. Affected Xiaomi phones are Redmi Note 10, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 11, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, POCO F2 Pro.
Fortunately, there’s a workaround, which seems to fix the cannot connect to the server in Google Play store. According to a Redditor, those experiencing the issue should force stop the Google Play store app and restart. That seems to fix the issue. However, if that didn’t help, you should uninstall updates (long press on Google Play Store app and select app info, tap uninstall updates). Let us know if you resolved the problem following the procedures.
