Circle to Search might be a Google feature, but the Galaxy S24 series debuted it. More phones have since gotten the new way to search, including Pixel phones, and it seems more phones will get it.
Samsung has released Circle to Search to more phones in the past few days, including mid-range devices. Initially, the feature was considered premium units exclusive, but that’s not the case. In addition, it won’t be limited to Samsung and Pixel phones, as Google confirms plans to bring it to 200 million phones before the end of 2024.
According to Rahman, Google plans to expand Circle to Search to more Android phones next month. That will end the exclusivity to Pixel and Galaxy phones. He confirmed that Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 will get the feature in October, a news that was communicated by the company.
Ultimately, the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, and other Android device makers will release the feature on their phones. However, only TECHNO has confirmed plans to release Circle to Search, but we believe other companies will join the party.
Circle to Search allows you to search for anything on your screen by circling them. A list of search options will appear below your screen, which you can pull up to see more results. However, you need to press and hold the home button for Google to appear on top of your screen before you can circle to Search.
