POCO F5 will be birthed into the tech world soon and it’s going to be one of those smartphones that will be taking up Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. This will be making it another powerful piece of tech from the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi. Let’s take a look at the expectation from this chip- and further the smartphone.
Expectations from the Poco F5
First off, the chipset debuting on the POCO F5, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is a 4nm SoC with a peak Kryo CPU — 1 prime (Cortex X2) + 3 performance + 4 efficiency cores — at speeds of 2.91GHz and 50% more performance than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1. The GPU and Al Engine have also been improved twofold. Indeed, Qualcomm claims the “biggest performance leap in 7-series history” for the Adreno GPU, as well as a 13% gain in total power efficiency.
The chipset and smartphone generally were optimized to give gamers an impressive gaming experience – thanks to the Auto Variable Rate Shading and volumetric rendering effects for fog, smoke, and other particle effects.
The CPU is capable of supporting 120Hz QHD+ screens as well as 200-megapixel camera sensors. A Snapdragon X62 5G modem with up to 4.4Gbps data transfer speeds is also included in the bundle. Other prominent features of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 that will most likely be included in the Poco F5 are Quick Charge 5 – which enables 0-50% battery charging in under five minutes at approved rates – Bluetooth 5.3, and FastConnect 6900 for Wi-Fi.
Well, for now, the bulk of the details of the POCO F5 is coming from the processor. More details about the hardware or the software haven’t surfaced online. But as usual, should any leak pop up, we’ll keep you posted.
