While we’ve gotten a new Snapdragon processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, which packs a lot of amazing feats ranging from efficient power usage plus amazing graphics to enhanced CPU performance, the Samsung Exynos 2300 SoC has been revealed.
The next generation of the Exynos chipset, Samsung Exynos 2300, was revealed earlier this week together with its model number which was said to be S5E9935. In addition, the codename for the new chipset has also surfaced.
According to a reliable tipster, Roland Quandt, the Korean tech giant has tagged the codename for the chipset to be Quadra. The predecessor, Exynos 2200 has the codename Pamir and it was announced to debut in the Galaxy S22, S22 Ultra, and the Galaxy S22+. The specifications of the Samsung Exynos 2300 are still in the air, but it is to be launched as Exynos 2300.
It was proposed that the new chipset might have a 3nm fabrication process which means better battery optimization for a start. It’s also stipulated to house the latest ARM CPU cores as well as an updated Xclipse GPU based on AMD’s new Radeon GPU. The Exynos 2300 being a 3nm process is a very sure tip since the mass production of the 3nm chipset is said to start later this year.
Rumours behind the Samsung Exynos 2300
While we expect this sleek chipset to debut on most Samsung Galaxy flagship series, sadly that might not be possible. The reason for this might be the smartphones having throttling and low-performance issues if equipped with the chipset.
The Exynos 2300 isn’t expected anytime soon until after two years as the Korean brand isn’t planning to use Exynos hardware on its S series now. Sources say a team of 1000 employees have been assembled to develop the custom chipset from the scratch, and it might debut on the Samsung Galaxy S25 in 2025.
