The “Google Wallpapers” app was released on the Play Store in 2016 for all Android devices and has just received a few additional backdrops.
The backdrops on the Google Wallpapers app
Yesterday evening, sources discovered the additions when Google changed the cover pictures for six wallpaper categories:
- Art: Love, Pixel
- Cityscapes: Cityscapes
- Landscapes: Photo by VictorAerden
- Life: Life
- Solid colors: Soft Violet
- Textures: Textures
Certain categories have additional wallpapers with the same name, such as “Love, Pixel” under Art, which serves as the Pixel 5a’s default backdrop. This picture, which matches Google’s 2021 mid-dark ranger’s green color, is now accessible on all Android phones.
The cover for Community Lens for Pixel phones has also been changed, but no new features have been added. On the same day as the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro events, this collection was last updated with 12 wallpapers. (You can get all of them via the link at the end of the article.)
Google Wallpapers debuted in October 2016 alongside the Pixel Launcher for the original Pixel. It was, however, made available for all Android smartphones. Google has only made a few additions that apply to all phones and tablets throughout the years. Meanwhile, speaking of drops, the Google Pixel March Feature drop was a blast. Users got to explore features like Direct My call, Magic Eraser, Pixel Launcher tweaks, a whole new quick Settings revamp, Dual sim dual standby, At A Glance features, Fall Detection, a lot more features, and of course, with the March Security patch.
