Google released the Pixel 6 duo in October 2021 with some company’s first and was tipped as the most powerful device from the company yet. The phones debuted running Android 12, and they were the first phone to do that. Given that Android 12 was new then, and as usual with new phones, Google had many bugs to fix. That has been going on for a while, but it has been hit and miss since then. Hopefully, the February security patch for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro fulfills its potential, as seen on Google’s update page.
Supposedly, the latest security patch build for the Pixel 6 duo has addressed the bug that caused the phones to reboot when using the camera. The annoying Bluetooth issues where audio playback works only on selected Bluetooth devices have been addressed, while certain codecs have seen their Bluetooth audio quality improved.
Interestingly, the February security patch for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro contains a fix for the keyboard issues. The issue of the keyboard extending to the input text area in some cases now has a fix. And while it seems exclusive to Pixel 6 phones, Google is also pushing this fix to its Android 12 phones. They include Pixel 5 and 5A, Pixel 4 and 4A, and Pixel 3.
Did the February security patch for Pixel 6 address connectivity issues
The latest security patch seems smooth, according to feedback so far. Still, many people complain of connectivity issues. Google supposedly fixed the problem with the January security patch. Perhaps, not everyone had it fixed with that build as there are complaints on Reddit over that. Although the latest update includes a fix for specific carriers’ connectivity issues, the Google update page excludes the Pixel 6 duo.
Nevertheless, you can check for the under 30MB package under settings>>System>>System updates. Perhaps, it might address the connectivity issues as most times, not all changes are listed on the update log.
