With few months left till the end of its three years of support, Xiaomi starts sending out a new update for the global Mi A2 Lite. The build, which brings along a new security patch, came early, given that the last update arrived not long ago. But that the beauty of Android One phones. They’re assured timely security patch update for at least three years.
However, things haven’t been smooth with Xiaomi Android One updates. The Mi A2 Lite got a taste of it when it received the buggy Android 10 update last year, which shifted to the Mi A3 before the end of last year. All that is in the past now, though. Those who had their device dead after a visit to the Mi service centers had their phones fixed.
Even with all these buggy Android one updates, Xiaomi isn’t shy of rolling them out. However, all Android one updates that have rolled out in the last couple of weeks are clean. And building on that, the company is now rolling out the February security patch update for Mi A2 Lite globally. Of course, the update is safe and you should install it when prompted to fortify your device and improve its security.
Meanwhile, the update is arriving with a version number – V11.0.18.0 QDLMIXM. It has been released for everyone, and hence, will appear on your device very soon. You can also check for the update via System Updates or download manually using the links below this post.
