The Xiaomi Mi A3 was the company’s only Android phone to receive the Android 11 update. And to what could have been the best new year present ever, it turned out to be a disaster after all the phones that installed the update (Android 11) were left dead on new year’s Eve. That wasn’t surprising but very frustrating as we have seen that multiple times. However, the company has since revived all the dead phones and even rolled out a fixed build that clears some of the reported bugs. The update arrived with the January security patch, and the global models are now receiving the February security patch update for the Mi A3.
The update is a stable release and will soon appear on all eligible phones (running the latest and official ROM). It weighs in at a massive 1.45GB. That’s big for just a security patch build, but it seems the company continues to fix some bugs with the latest release. It has a version number – V12.0.6.0 RFQMIXM and bumps the Android security level to February 2021. Aside from pushing the security patch level, no other changes have been seen, but very importantly, the update is safe. Therefore, you should go ahead and fortify your device with the latest release.
Meanwhile, for those still waiting for prompt notification, you can scan the February security patch update for the Mi A3 via System Updates. However, because it’s being pushed via OTA, it might take some time before appearing on your device. If that’s the case for you, then exercise patience and check back after some time. Unfortunately, we haven’t got our hands on the download links, and hence, you might have to check back later for it.
