Xiaomi recently announced their plans to stop weekly closed beta releases and move to a “beta version” for the Chinese ROM users. We believe the company has achieved stability with HyperOS, which is probably why they are moving to the beta version. However, there has not been a day we have not come across new issues, but it seems the latest reports are from those still running MIUI.
Xiaomi will slowly phase out MIUI, though it will take years, as some devices are stuck with it, having elapsed their support. You can check for devices that have stopped receiving updates here, and perhaps, upgrade to a new device if you prioritize security and quick bug fixes like the company is doing with the issue of full-screen gestures and random reboots.
full-screen gesture not working and reboot reboot
As per reports on the Xiaomi community, some users are having issues using full-screen gestures. We understand the problem started after installing a third-party app, My JPJ. Unfortunately, there is no official fix, but you can “Buttons” till an update is released to address the bug. Head to Settings>>Home screen>>System navigation>>Buttons.
As for random reboots, the issue seems exclusive to Xiaomi 12X users. Xiaomi has promised to address the bug in a future update. Unfortunately, we do not know when the update will be available, but you should avoid installing OS1.0.1.0.TLDRUXM.
In addition, Redmi Note 13 users having “No sound” issues should expect a new update soon. Xiaomi has acknowledged the bug and promised to start seeding a new build to address the issue. We recommend checking for a new update via the updater app to see if the update is rolling out yet.
