Samsung has been rolling out the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the past few weeks. The rollout has been limited to flagship phones but is now seeding for mid-range phones. Galaxy A55 is the first in that category to get upgraded, but it’s a South Korean exclusive.

It was a matter of time before the Galaxy A55 One UI 7 stable update started rolling out. Given the last beta release, we thought the rollout will commence much later, but Samsung had other ideas. The Korean company has been swift with the current rollout, maybe so they can focus on the next iteration. That has favored the Galaxy A55 users, as they can now install the update.
Details of Galaxy A55 One UI 7 stable update
Samsung is rolling out the update to the Galaxy Quantum 5 in Korea. It’s a version of the A55 exclusive to the Korean market, meaning the rollout is only available for devices in that country. Nevertheless, we expect an expansion to other countries since all the models have the same firmware.
The update is rolling out with firmware version A556SKSU4BYD9. It comes with all the expected features while bumping the Android security patch level to April 2025. Unfortunately, there are not many AI features due to the resources available on the device. However, there have been some improvements, new features, bug fixes, and optimizations.
We recommend installing the update when prompted, or you can manually check for it. Remember it’s available in South Korea at the time of the report, so it might take a few days before it becomes available in your country. Nevertheless, you can check for the upgrade via Settings>>System updates>>Download and install.
